I first started throwing stoneware about 10 years ago, it is very forgiving, reasonably cheap and versatile. I prefer the finer clay rather then the heavily grogged clay that can wear you fingers away quite quickly.

I started with quite heavily thrown pieces that were refined in form and reduced in function.

I have added a selection of smoke fired pieces that I have bee working on recently
